Serving the Shooting Sports Community in the Elmira Area Since 1951
Sullivan Trail Rod & Gun Club was formally incorporated on November 5, 1951. Founded by Tony Rossi on property he owned on Elmira’s East Hill, our scenic facility spans the Towns of Elmira and Baldwin in Chemung County, New York. For nearly 75 years we have pursued Tony’s vision of providing a place for generations of sportsmen to enjoy the shooting sports including trap, skeet, rifle, pistol and archery. And thanks to the generous support of the Rossi family, we can continue to offer these activities today. Old or young, new or experienced, we invite you to come up and share Tony’s vision with us!
Our Facility
Our 120.6 acre facility has something for everyone. We have a clubhouse, two trap fields and two skeet fields for the shotgun enthusiast. We have a 200+ yard rifle range with shooting benches and target stands. We have a 75 yard pistol range with shooting benches and a number of target stands and steel targets.
We have a substantial woodlot where one can enjoy hunting, hiking and ATV riding.
Membership
While many of our events are open to the public, membership in our Club is required to take full advantage of our facilities.
Annual membership dues are $55 and $35 for seniors aged 70 & over. Dues run from January 1 through December 31. This is a family membership which includes the primary member, spouse and any other immediate family member under the age of 18. Only the primary member has voting privileges in club matters.
Our Future
The future is bright for our club! We continue to grow and improve our facilities, offering events and programs for new & experienced shooters, and for youth.
We have expanded our training programs, and now offer classes for Hunter Safety, Defensive Pistol and NRA Basic classes for Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun.
Stop in and see what’s new. And if this is your first time shooting with us, WELCOME!
